The Buselli/Wallarab Jazz Orchestra in Indianapolis, Indiana (IN) is Indiana's leading jazz big band. Led by Mark Buselli and Brent Wallarab, the ensemble plays big band arrangements of jazz standards and original jazz compositions. The music features jazz improvisation and ensemble playing by Indianapolis' finest musicians. The big band instruments include 4 trumpets/flugelhorns, 3 trombones, 4 saxophone/clarinet/flute/bass clarinet, french horn, piano, bass, drums and guitar. The BWJO is the leading Indianapolis jazz orchestra, being the only repertory jazz big band in Indiana (Indianapolis-based) that is comprised of full-time professional musicians from throughout Indiana. As the most popular Indianapolis jazz orchestra, this jazz big band plays everything from historical jazz big band and swing band repertoire to new jazz compositions.
